Dr. Vijay Sekhar Babu is a passionate teacher, committed researcher, successful administrator, and an appreciable academician. He began his academic career in 2001, after completion of his M. Tech. from IIT Madras, Chennai. He has 22 years of experience and played pivotal role in developing the systems, facilities, and documentation needed for university and statutory compliances. He established technology enabled teaching and learning environment to supplement the classroom learning. Students were provided access to the digital learning content on campus LAN where all the content was made available.

 

He spearheaded many initiatives like converting conventional teaching to technology enabled teaching and learning. His articles on teaching learning practices were published in international journals. He has experience in getting Autonomous status, implementation of Outcome Based Education (OBE), getting NBA accreditation under Tier-1 for Six years and NAAC accreditation with ‘A’ grade for the three consecutive cycles.

 

He received his Ph.D degree from Andhra University in 2018. His areas of interest are Mechatronics, Industrial automation, Computer aided design and Manufacturing. He has published numerous research articles in several reputed National and International Journals and Conferences indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. He was trained in Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, and England for hands on training in advanced technologies. He has been the resource person for various FDPs organized by various premier institutions in the country in Computer aided design and technology enabled teaching-learning practices. He served as editor and reviewer for reputed international technical journals. He is a fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE), India and Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
