Leadership

Founder & Chairman, Chaitanya Group Torpedoed by the tides of time, today the firmament of higher education is in a great ferment. In the wake of intense shake-up triggered by the hidden fault-lines, many engineering Institutes and institutions offering professional courses have been swept of their feet in recent times. Even more are expected to follow suit. Proliferation has given way to purgation. Few could come to terms unscathed. Fewer could even think of consolidation.

At GIET Engineering College (GEC), we are driven by just one consideration: “excellence in everything we do.” Whatever the costs and whatever the efforts required towards that end, we are simply unremitting. The features and facilities at GEC are proof enough. We have built up the very best of infrastructure. We pooled up the best of faculty and facilities. We have promoted a consummate world-class learning environment. We have forged purposive alliances with the corporate world. That’s what enables us to produce outstanding technical talent. That’s what attracts several top-league corporate houses to the campus scouting of promising engineering talent. It will remain our commitment and constant endeavour to keep continuously shoring up our competences and resources, so that we can offer students the very best of engineering education among the best engineering colleges in Rajahmundry.

Technology is a goose bumping into future with an enormous speed. Under the influence of technology and globalization, India envisages a paradigm change in living, learning, and thinking. While technology supports living and learning it influences thinking. Earlier teacher-centered learning now became learner-centered; earlier it was the question of qualification, now it’s the question of skillset; earlier it was the question of employability, today unemployment can’t chain a skilled man. Indeed, there is a dearth of people with skills and expertise. Now the focus is on industry friendly education with soft-communication skills. “We should be everyday learners; nothing is out of syllabus; the day we don’t learn, then we are meek and weak” Learning skills; not knowledge. Knowledge without skills has little use. Therefore, the destination of GIET Engineering College is not degrees but a professional career.

At GEC, we believe in 'fuelling the quest for knowledge'. In doing so, our commitments pave the way for individual professional success which culminates in benefiting the society. Creating a state-of-the-art academic infrastructure, putting together the best teaching talents, equipping with every required learning aid ensures that students at GEC get the best in academics. Sporting, cultural and extra-curricular facilities are put in place, so that the students enjoy their campus life. GEC is truly emerging as the nurturing ground for leadership. It has become synonymous with practical and industry-focused education.
The fact is that GEC, today, is a familiar face in the industry and the same is a demonstration of its total commitment to excellence in academics.
