Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Quality improvement and assurance must be an integral part of the practices at an institution. Inculcation of the quality culture plays a vital role in reaching institution goals. To achieve the quality mission of the institute, IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) of the institution was established in 2016. It is aimed to develop better systematic and consistent methodology to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution. The cell observes and promotes the measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices at various important stages. It also focuses on adoption of advanced methods of teaching, learning and evaluation for the best satisfaction of all the stakeholders.

 

Quality Policy

To Produce quality engineering graduates found to be resourceful and innovative in approach with readiness to shoulder challenging assignments in academics with research inculcation.

 

Quality improvement and assurance is an integral part of practices at GEC. Inculcation of the quality culture is playing a vital role in reaching institution goals. Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) establishes, monitors, and ensures the quality practices. IQAC meets once per semester to review the progress and plan goals, to meet in the next semester.

Some of the functions of the IQAC are

  1. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

  2. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.

  3. Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

  4. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.

  5. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.

  6. Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement.

  7. Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

  8. Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality.

  9. Development of Quality Culture in the institution.

  10. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
